{ as promised, the day after tomorrow she'll get a call with ezra on the end of the line to let her know when he'll be ready. he's had time to scout out the guilds now and have a better idea of what kind of training spaces they have. for a first time it doesn't seem too bad to get started with. }

[Being who she is, she was pretty much awake and running rather early in the morning and is pretty much set for the day.]

Perfect. I'm here already so I can just start getting warmed up while I wait for you.

{ whether it only takes her 5 or 30 minutes it doesn't seem to matter too much. he's got a section with enough room to get some proper practice in. since he has no idea what she can do, he's tried to grab a bigger space than usual. really it probably says a lot about his character and personality that he doesn't automatically assume she can't do much--rather the opposite. he isn't about to underestimate her. since she's fairly easy to spot he'll wave her over as soon as she arrives. }

[Thankfully for both parties involved, she's rather quick on her feet, although she's doing her best not to wear herself out immediately so it doesn't take long for her to get there.]

Oh, like ground rules and stuff? I guess that makes sense when we don't really know each other... I don't mind going with whatever you want for this. It's been a while since I really got a chance to do anything.

{ he had been injured recently but thankfully with his enhanced healing he's pretty much good as new now. }

I don't have any healin' abilities, so I can probably go 'til my deflector breaks. I'll still hold back a little since this's a sparrin' match.

Deflector? That a shield or something? But sure, we can just see how it goes. I do heal pretty quickly so you don't have to worry too much.

Do you use a weapon or anything?

Sorta.

[It's close enough to a shield that it basically counts. As for her weapon...]

[As she says that, a blue wormhole appears behind her as a sword comes out of it, disappearing once it's fully through and Megumi grabs it easily with one hand.]

{ megumi will receive a fancy box with a floral pattern. there are pink and cream ribbons around it, to keep everything together. a small envelope is slotted on top, megumi's name written out in neat script. inside the card, there's a short message. }

I hope you have a lovely birthday. It is difficult when we are away from the people we love back home, but I hope this will be something that can make you smile. If you would like to do anything extra to celebrate, however, please let me know. I would love to celebrate it with you.

{ when megumi opens the box she'll find an assortment of items. sonia, who has come to find she enjoys treating her friends to things may have gone a bit crazy. oops.

there's a necklace and hair accessory set that looks like it may have been custom. the silver is delicate, spirals around a gem in the middle that looks pretty close to megumi's eye colour. of course there are two of the hair accessories, mirrored to ensure she can have her hair up on both sides like normal if she pleases.

alongside that there are some face masks, bath bombs, a cute face towel as well as hot chocolate mix and some snacks. there's also a gift card for one of the clothing stores in the city, so megumi can pick something out for herself. }

Psychicer is shook to the point where she is just staring at all of these for a bit because. Huh???????

Eventually, she manages to write a message in her panic: ]

{ it is a lot--but as someone who didn't have friends until she was 16 and promptly went through hell afterwards... she wants to spoil the people she cares about now. }

Of course. Is it too much?

It ain't bad. I was just... surprised. I've never gotten this much stuff fer my birthday before.

I see. I used to have too much, but my circumstances were probably quite different. { unless megumi has secretly been a princess all along- } But I also did not have friends I could show my affection for until recently. I hoped you would like the contents and that my friend would be happy. Please do not worry about needing to return the favour.

[ Megumi is very much... well, not exactly the opposite of a princess, but honestly just an ordinary girl.

She knows she's anything but that now. She's a psychic, and more importantly, a member of the Seraph squad. Even if she's fighting to return ordinary days back to others, she's still keenly aware of who and what she is. ]

I get that.

I didn't have a lotta friends when I was younger.

[ After all, who would want to be friends with Aikawa Megumi, back then? A girl who had no talent or skill in anything... not intelligent, nor good at sports.

The only thing she can be grateful for is that she wasn't bullied.

Yes it is, I would like to arrange a sleepover to celebrate it belatedly, if you would be willing to come as well that would make me very happy.

It just makes you warm! Most of the death festival stuff is in Frostreign this year instead of Blossomcrown like usual, so it made me think of cold places.

[Megumi will find something of a small present with her. Either in a mailbox or on her things somewhere. It's a cursed gemstone (a diamond) that will turn her into a goblin whenever she is hit with water. It can be purified with spring powers, luckily.]
